Q&A With Loni

  1. What would your advice be to brides who currently don’t have a planner?
    GET ONE. You do not want your friends and family setting up and tearing down your event. If you do not have a planner all of your guests will be calling, texting, emailing YOU questions they have about the day, where they need to be, what to wear, and so on. Having a planner gives you the best chance at being present on your special day and to actually spend it with your friends and family and not putting them to work. You will also be able to leave your venue worry free that everything is getting packed up and where it needs to go and all you have to worry about is enjoying the box of leftovers your planner packed for you for late night! 
  2. How do you help couples incorporate personal touches into their big day to make it uniquely theirs?
    This is super easy to do! When you are thinking about your day there are lots of ways to bring in personal touches. Maybe this is a photo seating chart, personalized notes to your guests, photos of you and your partner set out, calling your tables something other than 1, 2, 3, and even choosing a guest book that is unique to you – like having your guests sign a set of skis!
  3. Do you offer any services outside of full planning?
    We are a full service planning firm, but are open to offering the right client our Wedding Management Package which is considered partial planning and we start working with our clients at the 8 month mark.
  4. What made you want to get into planning?
    I started to realize that the skills needed to be a good planner, I was innately good at. I am organized, love a good color code, love building relationships with my clients, and the thrill of event management on the day is so exciting!
  5. What do you like to do in the off season for fun?
    Off season feel shorter and shorter each year – ha! I take time to put close out the year before with my budgets, client/vendor thank you gifts, and getting set up for admin success for the following year. Since the wedding season is so go, go, go, I love taking a slow morning to sip coffee and watch a TV show, get outside and take a walk, and most importantly taking advantage of all the free time with my 2 dogs and 2 horses! 
  6. Do you specialize in any particular type of wedding?
    I love weddings that are for good people who trust my skills and experience to guide them in the right direction. This is their first wedding (most of the time!) and I have done hundreds. You hired a planner for a reason – help us help you! If I had to pick a specialty it would be destination and mountain weddings. Love navigating an event in a more remote but beautiful location!
